John Seaman - Photography

John Seaman offers blowups of black and white photography of classic young female nudes, often inspired by Ancient Greek History or Mythology.

Most of his models are young college students, rather than professional models, and as such present fresh, spontaneous looks and attitudes. John Seaman's masterful photography captures his models' pristine beauty, classic in its timelessness, captured for this moment.

John Seaman has been photographing young nudes for 20 years, in his studio in Manhattan. John takes further inspiration from the work of such photographers of the nude as Edward Weston, Man Ray, David Hamilton, Bettina Rheims and Lucien Clergue, and also such painters as Gustav Courbet and Amedeo Modigliani.
